Repeat Step 3 for each product in your store. Products without jewelry fields will still get a standard invoice — they just won't have the jewelry certificate panel with hallmark, purity and stone details.
4
How It Works When a Customer Orders
Once the plugin is configured and your products have jewelry fields, the entire process is fully automatic. Here is exactly what happens from order to document.
1
Customer places an order on your store
Customer browses, adds jewelry to cart, and checks out via WooCommerce as normal. No change to the shopping experience.
2
You mark the order as Completed
When you process and ship the order, change the order status to Completed in WooCommerce. This automatically triggers the PDF engine.

1
Install the Plugin
There are two ways to install. Method A is the easiest for most users.
A
Install from WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)
Search and install directly from your WordPress admin — no file download needed.
Log in to your WordPress admin at yoursite.com/wp-admin
In the left sidebar go to Plugins → Add New Plugin
In the search box type Preciousuite Gold Saving Scheme
Find the plugin by Preciousuite and click Install Now
After installation click Activate Plugin
✓After activation you will see Gold Scheme appear in your WordPress sidebar menu.
B
Install via ZIP Upload (Manual)
Use this method if you downloaded the plugin ZIP file from WordPress.org or received a Pro ZIP from Preciousuite.
Go to Plugins → Add New Plugin
Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page
Click Choose File and select your preciousuite-gold-savings-scheme.zip file
Click Install Now
Click Activate Plugin
💡If you are upgrading from Free to Pro, upload the Pro ZIP through the same Upload Plugin screen. It will replace the free version automatically without losing any data.
2
Configure Settings
Set up your store's gold price and payment settings before creating any schemes.
1
Open the Settings Page
Navigate to the plugin settings from your WordPress admin sidebar.
WordPress Admin › Gold Scheme › Settings
2
Set the Manual Gold Price
This is the fallback gold price used for weight calculations when the live API is not connected.
Field
Description
Example
Manual Gold Price (₹ per gram)*
Current 24K gold rate per gram in your currency
₹7,200
Currency
Your store currency — must match WooCommerce currency
INR (₹)
⚠️Update the manual gold price regularly if you are not using the live API. An outdated rate will cause incorrect gold weight calculations for customers.
3
Enter Razorpay API Keys PRO
Required only if you want customers to pay installments online via Razorpay. Skip this step for cash-only stores.
Log in to your Razorpay Dashboard at dashboard.razorpay.com
Go to Settings → API Keys
Click Generate Key to create a new key pair
Copy the Key ID and Key Secret
Paste both into the Razorpay fields in Plugin Settings
Field
Where to Find It
Razorpay Key ID
Razorpay Dashboard → Settings → API Keys → Key ID
Razorpay Secret Key
Razorpay Dashboard → Settings → API Keys → Key Secret
💡Use Test Mode keys first (rzp_test_...) while setting up. Switch to Live keys (rzp_live_...) only when ready for real transactions.
4
Click Save Changes
Click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the settings page to apply your configuration.
3
Create Your First Scheme
A scheme defines the rules for a gold saving plan. You can create multiple schemes — for example a Bridal Set scheme and a Daily Wear scheme with different installment amounts.
1
Open Scheme Creation
Gold Scheme › Schemes › Add New Scheme
Or click the Create New Scheme button on the Dashboard page.
2
Fill in Scheme Basic Information
These fields define the core rules of the scheme.

Provide 1 Month Bonus on Maturity
When ticked, the system automatically adds one free bonus installment when the scheme matures. This is the standard industry practice.
✓ Enable
GST Rate (%)
GST percentage applied to installment payments. In India the standard rate for jewelry is 3%.
3
KYC — Aadhaar Card
Require customers to upload their Aadhaar card during enrollment
✓ Recommended for India
KYC — PAN Card
Require customers to upload their PAN card. Required for purchases above ₹2 lakh.
✓ Recommended
💡The bonus month is the biggest incentive for customers to join. Always enable it — it costs you one month's gold liability but guarantees a high-value purchase at maturity.
4
Click Save Scheme
Click Save Scheme on the right panel. The scheme is now Active and visible to customers.
✓Your scheme now appears in the Jewelry Saving Schemes list with Status: Active. Customers can now enroll.
4
Customer Enrollment
Customers can enroll in a scheme in two ways — online through their WooCommerce account, or manually by the store admin on their behalf.
A
Customer Self-Enrolls Online
When the customer is logged in, they visit My Account → Gold Scheme and fill in the enrollment form.
Customer logs in to their WooCommerce account
Goes to My Account → Gold Scheme
Clicks Enroll in a Scheme
Selects a scheme from the dropdown
Enters their installment amount (must be ≥ minimum)
Uploads KYC documents (Aadhaar, PAN) if required
Submits the enrollment form
💡The enrollment is set to Pending KYC until you verify the uploaded documents. The customer cannot make payments until KYC is approved.
B
Admin Enrolls a Customer Manually
For in-store enrollments — when the customer walks in and wants to join a scheme at the counter.
Gold Scheme › Customers › Add New Customer
Search for the customer by email or create a new WP user
Select the scheme they want to join
Enter installment amount and start date
Upload scanned KYC documents on their behalf
Save — KYC can be auto-approved for in-store enrollments
5
Verify Customer KYC
Before a customer can start making payments, you need to verify their identity documents. This is a legal requirement in India for jewelry transactions.
1
Go to Customer KYC Management
Gold Scheme › Customers
You will see a list of all enrolled customers with their KYC Status column showing Pending, Verified, or Rejected.
2
Review the Documents
Click View Document next to the customer's name to see their uploaded Aadhaar or PAN card.
3
Approve or Reject
Click Verify to approve the KYC — the customer is now Active and can pay installments. Click Reject/Unverify if documents are invalid.
✓Once KYC is verified, the customer receives an email confirmation and their installment schedule becomes active.
6
Record Installment Payments
Payments can be collected online via Razorpay (Pro) or recorded manually for cash/UPI in-store payments (Free and Pro).
A
Customer Pays Online PRO
The customer logs into My Account → Gold Scheme, opens their enrollment, and clicks Pay Now for their next installment. Razorpay handles the payment and the ledger updates automatically.
💡After a successful Razorpay payment, the plugin automatically calculates the gold weight earned (based on today's live rate) and updates the customer's gold weight ledger. No admin action is required.
B
Record Manual Payment (Cash / UPI / Cheque)
When a customer pays in-store, record the payment manually from your admin dashboard.
Gold Scheme › Customers › View Enrollments › Record Payment
Field
Description
Payment Date*
Date the customer paid. Defaults to today.
Amount Paid (₹)*
Actual amount received. Must be ≥ scheme minimum.
Gold Rate on Payment Date
Auto-filled from live API if connected, or from manual rate. You can edit this.
Payment Method*
Cash / Cheque / Bank Transfer / UPI
Reference Number
UPI transaction ID, cheque number, or any reference for your records.
✓After saving, the gold weight is calculated automatically and added to the customer's ledger. A payment receipt email is sent to the customer.
7
Customer Portal — My Account
Pro customers get a full self-service portal in WooCommerce My Account. Here is what it shows and how it works.
ℹ️

Sees a redemption summary showing total gold weight and current ₹ value
Clicks Start Shopping — a credit equal to their accumulated value is added to their WooCommerce account
Customer browses your store and adds items to cart

✓After the order is complete, enrollment status changes to Redeemed and a redemption confirmation email is sent to the customer.
⚠️The default redemption window is 30 days from maturity. If the customer does not redeem within 30 days, send them the deadline warning email manually or configure automatic deadline reminders (Pro).
